Good evening all

My name is Andrew Gall and i recently left Forestry and Land Scotland after 12 years employed as both a Civil engineer and latterly Quarry manager for Central Scotland. the reason i left is because i was successful in winning the Institute of Quarrying's Emerald Challenge for my invention, The Silt Sump.
I am now employed by a large contractor in Argyll as Silt Mitigation lead for the major works that will be happening soon with the Wood Group near Inverary.
My invention is fresh take on Silt mitigation for large scale works such as Windfarms, Quarrying, Construction and forestry operations and upgrades of Utilities.
I am currently deploying the SIlt sump on a multitude of sites for Forestry groups near Dalmally. The concept of the Silt sump is to replace second rate practices that are currently in practice throughout the industry as a whole. My concept has been well received and is now been shortlisted for Innovation the year award by the Scottish Veterans in Business award
