Biography
I've been involved in research projects in Scotland looking at collaborative working in catchment management partnerships, studying the efficacy of governance and policy implementation, and what constitutes good practice in stakeholder representation in doing so.
More recent work on freshwater related Nature-based Solutions began with a project understanding community attitudes towards natural flood management. Since then I've used the IUCN's NbS Standard to work with stakeholders towards holistic NbS (EUH2020), and am currently looking at evidence/knowledge use in and for NbS.
Additionally I am beginning work on the provision of reliable Private Water Supplies in Scotland, both from the perspective of users, and policymakers.
Finally, I spent some time on the Malawi-Scotland Regulatory Partnership (2019-2022) looking at policy implementation and integration with respect to regulatory needs, and the application of the Sector Wide Approach.
