Biography
Diana Valero is a social scientist working as MDT Fellow in Rural Water Security working in the Social, Economic and Geographical Sciences (SEGS) research group at the James Hutton Institute. With a strong focus on social justice, her work is focused on the understanding challenges in the provision of water services in Scotland and the potential for community action and social innovation for overcoming them. Her portfolio includes work on policy narratives of water security, resilience of private water supplies and private water supply catchments, and engagement of users and communities around water and wastewater services.
